Northchurch Rd looking west across Southgate Rd. Why are four cycling signs needed? Plenty of other junctions work just as well with just one cycling sign. Combined with the "gateway" of Islington signs across the junction the vista is quite awful.

Northchurch Rd. looking west across Southgate Rd. in detail. If the indicated pole were removed and replaced with a matching bollard it would make the long view down Northchurch Rd. much better. The cycling signs could easily be moved to the adjacent lighting column on the northern pavement. It would be higher and more visible at a distance.
